How to choose an edge banding machine
Answer these six questions before comparing prices. They decide which configuration fits your factory.
- Panel thickness and size. The thinnest and thickest boards you process, and your smallest part (narrow parts need a narrow-part machine).
- Edge material. PVC, ABS, acrylic, veneer or solid wood strips, and the maximum edge thickness you apply.
- Glue system. EVA for general interior furniture; PUR where kitchens, bathrooms and exports need moisture and heat resistance.
- Finish quality. Pre-milling, corner rounding, scraping and buffing decide how much hand finishing is left.
- Output. Boards per day, number of shifts and planned growth set the feed speed and automation level.
- Factory readiness. Stable three-phase power with proper earthing, clean dry compressed air and dust extraction.
EVA vs PUR edge banding
The glue system is the biggest single choice. Both are hot-melt adhesives applied by the machine's glue pot.
