Strategic direction — from grant-funded to industry-led

FFSC's focus is shifting from dependence on government funding towards a sustainable, industry-owned growth model. The five pillars of this shift are:

CSR partnerships

Corporate CSR programmes funding training, RPL, apprenticeships and Skill Academies.

Marketing-funded programmes

Awareness and aspiration campaigns supported by industry marketing budgets.

Demand-driven training

Curriculum, batches and locations mapped to real hiring demand from manufacturers.

Skill Academies

Industry-led practical training centres co-created with technology and material partners.

Industry collaborations

Joint programmes with OEMs, associations, institutions and CSR partners.

Long-term ecosystem ownership

An ecosystem financially and operationally owned by the industry it serves.

The objective — a long-term skill ecosystem owned and supported by the industry.

Technology transformation — FFSC on Zoho

FFSC has adopted a modern digital stack across HR, finance, sales and analytics:

Zoho People

Team, roles, attendance and HR workflows.

Zoho Expense

Expense claims, approvals and travel.

Zoho CRM

Members, partners, trainers and pipeline management.

Zoho Analytics

Live dashboards on training, projects, centres, memberships, renewals and performance.

The Governing Council recognised the contribution of Mr. Satyan Thukral (CEO, Caple Industrial Solutions) in introducing FFSC to the Zoho ecosystem and supporting its digital transformation.

Skill Academy strategy — every technology adoption should create skilled manpower

FFSC aims to build a strong Skill Academy network in collaboration with the complete industrial value chain — machine manufacturers, technology providers, material suppliers, industry partners and training institutions.

Caple's Delhi Centre of Excellence has been offered as a facility to support industry-led skilling initiatives.

Every technology adoption should create skilled manpower along with it.

Whenever new machines, software or processes enter the industry, structured training must ensure that trainers are developed, operators are certified, skills are upgraded and productivity improves.

Industry Knowledge Library

Structured knowledge by skill, product, process, machine category, raw material, application and best practices.

Recognition & Career Pathways

MSME & manufacturing ecosystem — what needs to change

Three challenges remain critical for first-generation entrepreneurs entering furniture manufacturing:

  • Availability of industrial land
  • Infrastructure cost
  • Access to affordable credit

Observation from industry — financial support is easier to access for expansion projects than for first-generation manufacturing entrepreneurs.

Future opportunity

Shared infrastructure

Common facilities that reduce fixed cost for small manufacturers.

Low-cost factory ecosystems

Planned zones designed for MSME furniture manufacturers.

Micro manufacturing clusters

Regional clusters where multiple small units share knowledge and demand.

Government-supported facilities

Policy-backed skilling, plug-and-play sheds and credit access for new entrepreneurs.
