Returns, Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy explains cancellations, returns and refunds for machinery, tools, spares and services supplied by Caple Industrial Solutions ("Caple"). It forms part of, and must be read with, our Terms and Conditions and the terms in each quotation, pro forma invoice and order confirmation. If there is any conflict, the written quotation or order confirmation prevails.
Summary
- Confirmed orders are firm, non-cancellable, non-returnable and non-refundable.
- The 30% advance paid with an order is non-refundable.
- Inspect goods on delivery. Report visible shortage, transit damage or mismatch within 48 hours, and concealed damage within 7 days.
- Defects covered by warranty are remedied by repair only.
- Duplicate or excess payments are refunded after verification.
Order cancellation
An order is confirmed when Caple receives the advance or issues an order confirmation. Confirmed orders cannot be cancelled, especially imported, indent, made-to-order, custom-configured, software-enabled or manufacturer-booked goods.
If Caple agrees in writing to a cancellation, postponement, design change or reduction in scope, the buyer must pay all costs and losses Caple has incurred or committed. These include manufacturer cancellation charges, goods in transit, exchange-rate losses, freight, customs, storage and administration costs. Caple may adjust these against any amount it holds, including the advance.
Advance and payment default
The 30% advance is non-interest-bearing and non-refundable. The 70% balance is due before dispatch. Delayed payments attract interest at 18% per annum.
If the balance is not paid within 90 days of Caple's notice that the goods are ready, the advance is forfeited as compensation and Caple may resell the goods and recover its losses. Title to the goods remains with Caple until full payment is received.
Returns and exchanges
Goods that have been delivered, installed, commissioned, used, integrated or specially procured cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded, except with Caple's express written agreement.
Delivery inspection, shortage and transit damage
Prices are ex-warehouse or ex-works. The buyer must insure the goods against transit damage, unloading, shortages and storage, up to erection.
- Inspect goods immediately on delivery and write any visible shortage, damage or packing discrepancy on the delivery receipt.
- Notify Caple in writing within 48 hours of delivery.
- Notify concealed damage within 7 days, with photographs, unpacking evidence and carrier records.
Transit damage claims are made against the buyer's insurance. Caple will share the documents it holds to support the claim.
Warranty defects
Where a warranty applies, it follows the manufacturer's policy and covers manufacturing defects only. The warranty period is the one stated, or 12 months / 1,000 hours, whichever is earlier. Consumables and wear parts are excluded. The remedy is repair only. A warranty claim does not entitle the buyer to a refund, replacement or consequential claim.
Send warranty requests in writing to web@caple.in with the invoice number, the machine serial number, proof of purchase, and photos or videos of the issue. Full warranty conditions and exclusions are in our Terms and Conditions.
Services
Installation, commissioning, training, CAD/CAM mapping, relocation and service visits that have been carried out are not refundable. Concerns about a service visit must be recorded in the service report at the time of the visit, or notified within 24 hours.
Duplicate or excess payments
If you pay the same invoice twice or pay more than the invoiced amount, Caple will refund the excess to the original payment account after verifying it with our bank. Interest is not payable on such refunds. Bank or payment-gateway charges, if any, may be deducted.
