Caple Industrial Solutions ("Caple", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.caple.in, our phone and WhatsApp lines, email and our showrooms, why we collect it, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. It should be read with our Terms and Conditions.

Data we collect

• Contact and business details: name, company, designation, phone, WhatsApp number, email, billing and delivery address, and GSTIN.
• Enquiry and order details: machines or products of interest, production requirements, quotations, orders, invoices, installation and service records, and machine serial numbers.
• Payment details: payment references and bank details needed for invoicing and refunds. Online card and UPI payments are handled by payment service providers; Caple does not store card numbers.
• Website usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• Communications: messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, website chat or phone.

How we use your data

• To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations
• To process orders, payments, invoices, delivery, installation, warranty and service
• To meet GST, accounting, tax and other legal requirements
• To send product information, offers and event invitations, which you can opt out of at any time
• To improve our website, products and service

We process your data on the basis of your consent, to perform a contract with you, or where the law requires or permits it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features, such as the cart and currency selection, may not work without cookies.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:

• Service providers that run our business systems, such as website hosting, CRM, accounting, email and messaging
• Machine manufacturers, for warranty registration, technical support and spare parts
• Logistics, transport and installation partners, for delivery and service
• Banks, payment providers and finance partners, for payments, or for loans you ask us to arrange
• Government authorities, courts or regulators, where the law requires it

Some providers and manufacturers may process data outside India, subject to the safeguards required by Indian law.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data for as long as needed for the purposes above. Order, invoice and tax records are kept for the period required by GST and accounting laws. Marketing data is kept until you opt out or ask us to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and secure (HTTPS) connections. No system is completely secure, so please do not send passwords or card numbers by email or WhatsApp.

Your rights

Subject to the law, you may:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
• Ask us to correct, complete or update your data
• Ask us to erase your data where we no longer need it, unless we must keep it by law
• Withdraw consent, including for marketing messages
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated
• Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
