FAQ

Buying questions answered

HPL or veneer — same press? Yes, same press — different temperature and pressure settings. Caple sets up presets for both during commissioning.

Thermic oil vs electric heating? Thermic oil: better for high-volume production, lower running cost. Electric: faster startup, easier maintenance, good for variable jobs. We help you choose.

Cycle time for HPL lamination? 90-120 seconds at 130-140 deg C, 80-100 tonnes pressure. Caple presses meet typical Greenlam, Merino, Century specs.

Do you supply just the press or the full line? Both. Standalone press OR full line with infeed roller table, glue applicator, hot press, outfeed cooling and trimming. Talk to your regional executive.

What service support do you offer? Hydraulic pump rebuild, platen cleaning, temperature sensor replacement, thermic oil flushing — all done by Caple's own service team across 3 regions.
