ABOUT CAPLE INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS

India's woodworking machinery partner — sales through education, service as an investment

Caple Industrial Solutions is a family-owned woodworking machinery business founded in 1974. Today the fourth generation runs operations from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, supported by a Centre of Excellence at Pelhar, Vasai, with pan-India sales and service reaching customers in every corner of the country. Our journey from a single retail shop, Caple Traders, to Caple Industrial Solutions reflects five decades of hands-on experience across the entire industrial ecosystem — built on a simple philosophy of sales through education.

Our Core Purpose — the "Why" of our business

Why we exist

Caple's core purpose is to deliver the best solutions through Consultancy in Application and Process, Leading to Excellence.

Our purpose is built into our name — CAPLE: Consultancy in Application and Process Leading to Excellence. We do not see ourselves as machine sellers. We exist to educate buyers, reduce the risk of a wrong investment, and keep machines productive long after the sale. When a customer succeeds shift after shift — better finish, lower downtime, higher output, and a healthier shop floor — our purpose is fulfilled. This is the meaning behind our philosophy of sales through education and service as an investment, not an expense.

Our Core Values — the "How" of our business

The values that guide how we work

Five core values shape every relationship, every transaction, and every decision at Caple Industrial Solutions — from the first demo to years of dependable after-sales service.

Relationship

We invest in and nurture relationships with our suppliers, our team, our customers, our associates, and even our competitors. Lasting relationships are the foundation of our business.

Fair Price

We design fair value that leads to healthy profits for everyone, that is, the supplier, the team, the customer, the company, and the nation. A fair price keeps the whole ecosystem strong.

Trust & Transparency

Trust is our business currency. We at Caple stay transparent in all transactions, both internally and externally, so that every stakeholder always knows exactly where they stand.

Unparalled Industrial Experience

We learned the whole ecosystem, not just the machines we sell

Caple's depth comes from five decades spent across the complete industrial ecosystem. Before mastering the woodworking machinery range we sell today, we earned our experience hands-on across pumps, power tools, welding machines, generators, metal-working machines, workshop machines, pneumatics, hydraulics, and switchgear. This breadth lets us understand a customer's entire factory — not just one machine — which is rare in our industry.

Our History — 50 years in the making

The values that guide how we work

From a single trading shop to a service-led woodworking machinery house, Caple has grown alongside Indian manufacturing. Over the decades we have proudly represented, supplied, and serviced many of the world's leading woodworking and industrial brands — building the experience that today helps our customers choose and run the right machine with confidence.

1974 - 1983

The Foundation

Caple Traders is founded, beginning with plastic moulding machines and the NK hand press — the first chapter of a family business built on hard work and customer trust.

1984 - 1995

Broadening the industrial range

The product range grows to include metal fabrication, woodworking, pumps, motors, power tools, and air compressors, with associations including Crompton Greaves and L&T.

1996 – 2005

The next generation, and our European beginning

Satyan and Dinesh Thukral join the business and the portfolio expands with Elgi, Bosch, Festo, and Atlas Copco. Our European woodworking machine sales begin with the Felder K700 panel saw as a sub-dealer — before Jai launched its Modula series, which we then took for Mumbai and Pune.

2006 – 2009

Into European woodworking technology

Caple opens a demo centre and begins working with European machines, including associations with Turanlar and SCM, while expanding operations across Maharashtra and Goa.

2010 – 2014

A portfolio of world-class European brands

Caple represents and services a strong line-up of European names over these years — including Homag, Altendorf, Cefla, Orma, Vitap, Coral, Festool, and Bessey — and grows its footprint across North, East, West, and South India, supported by a network of up to seven regional demo centres.

Top Altendorf dealer in India for 7 years

During our earlier journey with premium European panel-saw technology, Caple was recognised as the top Altendorf dealer in India for seven years — a legacy that still reflects our depth in sliding-table saws, customer education, and dependable after-sales service.

2015 – 2022

The digital chapter: caple.in

Caple launches caple.in — India's industrial H-Commerce platform for woodworking machinery — improves operational efficiency, and adds laser and advanced aluminium machines.

2023 – 2025

Centre of Excellence and steady growth

As machines grew larger and more industrial, Caple consolidated its earlier seven demo centres into two major experience centres in Mumbai and Delhi, and inaugurated its Centre of Excellence at Pelhar, dedicated to Skill India and Make in India. Caple adds Nanxing, HBW, and Lamello, expands across five-plus cities, and does pan-India installations.

2026 onwards

Recognised and growing

Caple is honoured with the Best Nanxing Rising Dealer award for 2025, carrying five decades of trust into the next chapter of Indian woodworking manufacturing.

Leadership & Experience

Three decades of woodworking machinery leadership

Caple is led by Satyan Thukral, who has spent more than three decades in India's woodworking and industrial machinery sector. He has been Chief Executive Officer of Caple Traders since 1996 and of Caple Industrial Solutions since 2005, guiding the business from a trading shop into a consultancy-, supply-, and service-led machinery house. His hands-on experience across leading European and global brands is a large part of why Caple can advise Indian factories with genuine depth.

Our Legacy

In the past, Caple built its expertise by working with global woodworking leaders such as SCM Group, Homag, Festool and Altendorf. These associations shape our understanding of European technology, application support, customer education & dependable after-sales service.

Our Current Brands

Today, Caple is fully dedicated to driving growth as an authorised distributor for Nanxing, Lamello, Bessey, Orma, Vitap, IMOS, and HBW. Our current portfolio supports Indian woodworking and furniture manufacturers with machinery, joining systems, tools and factory productivity support.

Industry Roles

Beyond Caple, Satyan serves the wider industry as Chairman Elect of the Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC) for 2026–2027 and as Treasurer of the Indian Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers and Traders Association (IWMMTA) — contributing to the standards of woodworking

More Than Machines

Beyond machine tools, the Caple partners bring 30+ years of experience in real estate investment and leasing — a depth of commercial insight that helps customers plan, fund, and grow their operations to maximize their ROI. Caple’s products are grounded in the current business thinking.

Education & Continuous Learning

A graduate in Commerce from Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai, Satyan is an IIM Ahmedabad MDP alumnus who has successfully completed variosu programmes based on Customer-Related Strategy, Professional Service Firms and the Transformation of Small & Medium Enterprises.

From Caple Traders to a Centre of Excellence

Our journey from a single retail shop, Caple Traders, to Caple Industrial Solutions has culminated in a 13,500-square-foot Centre of Excellence at Pelhar. We once ran up to seven demo centres across India; as the machines we sell grew larger and more industrial, we consolidated this into two major experience centres in Mumbai and Delhi, where customers and operators learn directly on live machines. Continuous training programmes, delivered with the best manufacturers in the industry, turn a machine purchase into long-term production success.

Consultancy

We study the application, factory layout, and output targets before recommending a machine, so the investment matches the production goal.

Supplies

We supply woodworking machinery suited to modular furniture, panel processing, joinery, and factory automation across India.

Service

We stay close to the customer for installation, operator training, spares, and service — keeping machines productive over the long term.

CEO talk: Make in India and Skill India

Satyan Thukral on building a sustainable, skilled, and self-reliant manufacturing base in India.

What is ZED, and why does the sequence matter?
  • Zero Effect protects the health and safety of workers and the environment, and optimises resources — time, space, labour, energy, and raw material. A wasted resource is a national waste.
  • Zero Defect means achieving the best quality within a given resource. It needs the best machine tools, the best raw materials, process knowledge, and the right attitude.
  • ZED must be read and practised in sequence. Without Zero Effect, pursuing Zero Defect is not sustainable.

"ZED is the mantra that leads to efficiency, effectiveness, excellence, scalability, nation-building, and sustainability. The best quality is achieved only when the right machine, the right material, and the right process come together."
— Satyan Thukral, CEO, Caple Industrial Solutions

Our service philosophy: right to repair

The machine tool industry often thrives on the sale of spare parts. That model is costly for customers and adds to the carbon footprint. At Caple, we give customers a clear choice between shorter downtime and the right to repair. We do not reward our service team for selling spare parts; instead, we reward customer satisfaction, genuine testimonials, and the goodwill our engineers build. Our management's mandate is simple — treat service as an investment, not an expense.
Repair versus replace — what each choice means for the customer
Right to repair From the machine supplier Lower downtime, problem fixed at the root Needs skilled service support nearby
Right to replace From the component supplier Cheaper part cost Higher downtime; the problem may recur
